2021 Txabola Viura
Rioja, Spain
VINEYARD
The bunches come from almost all their plots where you will find some subplots with Viura among the Tempranillo. The vines are more than 45 years old and thrive in clay and limestone soils.
VINIFICATION
After picking, the bunches undergo direct pressing. The juice ferments in stainless steel tanks, this process is started by the native yeasts. The final part of the fermentation takes place in oak barrels, a mix of 225 and 500 liter barrels. One third of the barrels are new. The wine matures here for another 6 months before being bottled.
